Cuzco stops being the main destination within Peru after Lima. New TOP 10 in August

After the declaration of the curfew in Peru and a very erratic movement of the market. The DGAC has issued statistical data until August and a marked difference has been seen between the months of April to July, where we are seeing a gradual growth of aviation and although Cuzco maintains a relevant flow of passengers it is seen that little by Little does the profile of the Peruvian market change in terms of domestic flights, which do not seek to travel to Cuzco.

As of August, few destinations suffered from a fozalized quarantine, which was the case in Cuzco, according to the movements of the Lima airport, this statistic reflects how the local market behaves without the presence of foreign tourists

This is due to the fact that in August icons such as Machu Picchu did not yet open a destination and that the natural behavior of people as it happens in many countries of the world is not to travel to a destination of adventure and culture after a quarantine but to travel to relaxation and beach destination. This perfectly explains the current situation in Cuzco and how destinations such as Iquitos, Pucallpa, Piura, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Talara and Tumbes have grown. The TOP 10 of current destinations would be:

  1. Iquitos
  2. Pucallpa
  3. Piura
  4. Chiclayo
  5. Trujillo
  6. Cuzco
  7. Talara
  8. Arequipa
  9. Tumbes
  10. Juliaca

There is a very important observation in this TOP and it is that destinations such as Cuzco and Arequipa are served by at least 3 airlines. While Talara located in the TOP 7 is only served by one airline, which indicates that the little flow of passengers that Cuzco and Arequuipa have is distributed between
