“We are pleased to see the growth of Viva Aerobus in our capital. The new direct route from Guadalajara is the result of committed work and as allies of the City Brand ratifies the importance we have given to the Mexican market in our tourism promotion strategy.

We will continue to consolidate this good moment hand in hand with our allies”, explained Karol Fajardo Mariño, director of the District Institute of Tourism.

In this way, with more of 185 thousand passengers, Colombia positioned itself as the third country that generated a greater flow of visitors, only behind the United States and Canada.

For its part, as reported by the Government of Colombia in its 2021 annual report on tourism figures, in 2021 Mexico ranked third among the countries that generated a greater flow of non-resident foreign visitors to Colombia, only behind United States and Venezuela, having sent more than 81 thousand travelers.
