Airports of Peru (AdP), a company belonging to the Sandoval Group, awarded the consulting service contract to the company AECOM Technical Services Sucursal del Perú for the development of the Technical File of the Modernization project of the Capitán FAP José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles de Chiclayo International Airport , whose construction will require an investment of approximately US $ 400 million.
The company AECOM Technical Services Sucursal del Peru must prepare the final studies and detailed engineering for the construction of a new and modern passenger terminal, cargo terminal, control tower, aircraft platforms, taxiways and extension of the runway. landing.
The project also includes a new aeronautical fire station, aviation fuel plant and other buildings and support facilities for the operation of the Chiclayo airport.
The preparation of the Technical File will be in accordance with the guidelines established by the National System for Multiannual Programming and Investment Management (Invierte.pe) and in line with the existing regulation, for the review of the Supervisory Body of Investment in Transportation Infrastructure of Public Use (OSITRAN) and corresponding approval from the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC).
Evans Avendaño, General Manager of AdP, pointed out that “the objective of the project is to fully expand and improve the operational capacity of the Chiclayo Airport, with high standards of quality of service, which will allow promoting the connectivity and decentralization of air transport in our country , as well as commercial development and regional tourism ”.
